August 12, 2009

To support its growing presence in the Federal arena, Parabon Computation, a veteran provider of extreme-scale grid computing software and services, has appointed Lance F. Howden as Director of Federal Sales. In his new position, Mr. Howden will lead Parabon's government sales and business development initiatives.

Mr. Howden joins Parabon with a proven track record in solution sales, with particular experience in delivering innovative technologies and solutions to the Intelligence Community (IC). For the last four years, Mr. Howden worked for Teradata Corporation, where he was Senior Account Manager for the IC. He built repeatable "footprint" solutions for IC customers, and created the Federal Systems New Business Council. While there, Mr. Howden managed all the resources required to build a completely new territory, from messaging to contracts management. Prior to that, he was responsible for growing a virgin pipeline at Endeca Technologies. Howden started his career at Oracle as a Senior Account Manager for the DIA/DODIIS Community.

"We are most fortunate to have found, in Lance, an experienced sales leader who shares our passion for excellence and commitment to delivering high-value grid software solutions," stated Dr. Steven Armentrout, Parabon Founder and CEO. "Under his direction and empowered by our technology, Parabon's current and future government customers are certain to stay ahead of their most difficult computational challenges."
