Senior Java Engineer - Reston, VA
Parabon Computation, Inc., the most experienced grid computing company in the marketplace, seeks a Java expert with server-side development experience.
As a member of the Parabon team, you will work on the server side of Frontier, as well as serve as a resource to users developing grid-enabled applications to run on Frontier in a wide variety of domains. [Note: Link to "What It's Used For"]
Duties:
- Software engineering
- Testing and deployment
Minimum Education and Experience:
- 5 years of OO development
- 5 years of Java programming experience
- Knowledge of J2SE, J2EE API and shell scripting required
- Unix/Linux experience
- Shell scripting
- Build environments
- Packaging experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Desired Additional Skills:
- Internals of Java and JVM
- Transaction Processing
- High intensity development experience
- MS Computer Science Preferred
